Help Your Neighbors This Holiday Season

The holidays are a time to celebrate, but some Ellijay GA families are having a tougher end to their 2020. The pandemic brought a lot of hardship to communities across the country. People have lost their jobs, and businesses have shut down. Ellijay Storage wants to help our neighbors through this time, but we need your help to do it. We are accepting donations at our facility on Orchard Road to go toward The Salvation Army’s efforts in Ellijay GA.

Holidays in Ellijay GA & The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army works on a local level to assure the most vulnerable members of our community are taken care of. During the holiday season, donations are collected through the red kettle program. This year, however, The Salvation Army is expecting a decrease in funds from the red kettles due to COVID-19 precautions. They need our support to help fund their holiday assistance services.

The pandemic has left many families struggling to make ends meet. The Salvation Army helps these families pay for expenses like their rent, heat, and groceries. Donations also go toward providing resources for local homeless shelters, as well as the Angel Tree program. When a child’s parents do not have the financial means for presents that year, the kids can put a wish on the Angel Tree. Then a donor can provide the gift for the child to open on Christmas. If you are able to, please think about donating to The Salvation Army through Ellijay Storage this year.
